Spectacular Lakefront Views

The campground is set up along the shores of beautiful Douglas Lake, a BASSMASTER Top 100 lake, with spectacular views of the Great Smoky Mountains in the distance. It’s one of the newest campgrounds we’ve reviewed, but it has already received a ton of glowing reviews from RVers.

 

Almost every site here overlooks the lake with the Great Smokies off in the distance. They’ve really thought through what makes a campsite at this campground special. There are plenty of sites to choose from, and you can even book a site with a beautiful stone fireplace.

 

You’ll enjoy a comfortable stay in a spacious site with all the amenities you need. There’s a large swimming pool with a water slide and a sandy beach for lake swimming. There are also hiking and biking trails, a playground and more. You’ll also love the nearby attractions, including Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies and Ober Gatlinburg, a mountain resort featuring snow-based activities.

 

Great Amenities

If you’re looking to have a great luxury RV vacation, this campground is worth checking out. They have a ton of amenities to keep you busy. It’s also close to other popular attractions in the area, like Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

 

You can spend the day fishing on Lake Douglas, swimming in the pool or slipping down the water slide, playing a friendly game of pickleball, relaxing on the beach with a rented pontoon boat, or hiking along the beautiful lake trail. There’s something to do for the whole family, including the pets!

 

This is one of the newer campgrounds in Tennessee, but it’s already receiving shining reviews. There are 160 to 170 spacious lake front and lake view campsites, with fire pits and outdoor fireplaces, free wifi and cable TV hookups, paved streets, bathhouses with private bathrooms, laundry facilities, playground, sandy beach area for lake swimming, and golf cart rentals. Easy to Stay Active

If you want to keep your family active, there is plenty here. From basketball and pickleball courts to a doggie exercise park, this luxury RV campground has you covered.

 

You can also take a hike on the Lake Trail, which runs along part of the beautiful Douglas Dam. This colossal structure provides power to the area and is a sight to behold as thousands of gallons of water blast through turbines each second.

 

The campground itself is built into a ridge above the shoreline of Douglas Lake, and almost all of the 170 paved sites have incredible lake views. Will thinks sites 28-29 might be the best, but all are great and there is something for everyone here. The campground is within a short drive of many top attractions in the area, including Knoxville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. It’s also just under an hour’s drive to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
